History

The founder, David Salch, launched into online schooling back in 2016, pioneering the concept of hands-on classes with real projects offered remotely through zoom. This quickly became a blazing success around the world! By 2023 well over 10,000 students have completed a course with Mr. Salch, with nearly consistent 5-star reviews.

During the pandemic, multitudes of families explored the online world as schools closed. However, the limitations of online learning quickly became apparent. The online world was clearly not as effective overall as in-person experiences. Too much was missing. With fully live classes, scheduling became a problem (as well as cost) but the recorded video world was sorely lacking in effectiveness. It seemed that neither extreme actually met the needs of real students around the world.

While many tried to duplicate the apparent success of certain online platforms, The market became saturated with “imitators” of what seemed to work. As the pandemic waned, a huge new group of families wanted to maintain homeschooling through remote means, but they also realized the limitations of the existing platforms.

This was the birth of the idea behind Life Schooling Online. Mr Salch took the success of his online classes and started building a totally new platform, a new generation of online learning that combined all of the best aspects of various approaches. The goal? To truly create an online learning environment for young and old across a wide variety of topics that truly created a marriage between virtual and real life.

In 2023, those efforts finally reach fruition and became available worldwide!

Meet Our Founder

David Salch

Dave Salch is a retired entrepreneur / engineer / executive who has devoted his time to capturing and delivering true learning. The son of an second generation farmer turned entrepreneur, Dave started his entrepreneurial journey as a young teenager. The family business Dave grew up in offered a wide variety of experiences which created in Dave a love for being “jack of all trades, master several”. Dave’s resume is so eclectic it became a challenge to answer “what do you do?”.

Now, in retirement from the high tech / executive world , Dave has been able to use that eclectic background to create a truly unique experience of learning. Add in homeschooling of most of his children (of which there are 13!) and this provides an unprecedented background of blending professional training and accomplishment with real life experiences.

We Are Moving Forward

Learning is a life experience, it never ends. Towards this end, LifeSchoolingOnline strives to keep growing and innovating to bring together young and old in an ever-widening array of topics in imaginative ways utilizing the best technology in a practical way.

What does that mouthful of words mean? It means commitment to growing, changing, and adapting as necessary. Technology is wonderful and useful, but only when applied practically. We can never forget that people are humans, not machines. We have needs and talents that both exceed expectations and demand attention.
